About Us
Driven by Coffee
Having retired from my career in December 2023, it is now time for a change.
In 1987, I embarked on a total of 4 years studying Hotel and Catering Management. During this time, I worked in various catering establishments including 'Little Chef', Alton Towers, P&O, Beefeater and even Buckingham Palace. Ultimately though, my career took a very different path.
Now, after more than 30 years in my chosen career, I am returning to my catering roots and going it alone in the business of mobile coffee.
This is a business that has been planned for 6 or 7 years. The logo was created by my youngest daughter when she was 11 years old. I couldn't do it better, so that is the one!
The original concept was to create a sustainable business using a converted horse trailer, sort of recycling an old trailer and saving the planet. In the end, I invested a very serviceable trailer which is nowhere near requiring recycling! However, there has been a lot to do to make her ready to serve customers.
With sustainability at the forefront, power comes from the sun. Large solar panels provide all the electrical needs and whilst propane is used to heat the coffee machine, it has levers powered by arm muscles to produce the pressure needed to make a perfect coffee.
Cups are all compostable, coffee is supplied from a fully ethical source, cakes are baked locally and single-use plastic is avoided wherever possible.
I am pleased to announce that I am now trading and have a number of significant events already booked for this year.
